\ctrcol{\Xbf The Residents' Association \ \ The Sequoias, Portola Valley}
The Residents' Association, consisting of all residents of The Sequoias,
was formed to assist in promoting a satisfying and pleasant community
life. It meets annually to review the year's activities and to make any
needed changes in its constitution and by-laws. The main duties of the
Association are carried out by an elected twelve-member Residents' Council
that meets monthly and by many committees.
The Residents' Council works closely with the Administrator in formulating
policies that will be of benifit to all residents. The Council elects a
president, vice-president, secretary and treasurer, who together form the
Executive Committee of the Council.
Much of the actual work of the Association is carried out by forty four
committees that organize and direct activities desired by the residents.
Many residents serve on several different committees and all residents are
encouraged to participate in committee work to make life at The Sequoias
more rewarding and productive.
The Executive Committee members for the past twenty years have been the
